The Case Continues
After obtaining all the specimens and sending them to the appropriate laboratories, including for all three molecular analysis tests, the procedure was ended. The patient was transferred to the recovery area and discharged home. On follow-up visit, the final results of the procedure were discussed. The patient had primary lung adenocarcinoma, stage IIIB. EGFR mutation analysis showed deletion of exon 19; KRAS mutation was negative. ALK rearrangement was negative assessed using FISH.
